Prof. Alison Mudge
Professor Alison Mudge is a physician researcher at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital whose primary focus has been applied multidisciplinary research to improve care and outcomes of older patients. She leads the statewide Eat Walk Engage program.

Assoc. Prof. Karla Canuto
Associate Professor Karla Canuto is a Torres Strait Islander, descendent of the Naghir Tribe of the Kulkalgal Clan. She is mid-career researcher with over 20 years’ experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health/ health research.

Karla has experience across a wide range of research initiatives all focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Karla is passionate about building the capacity and capabilities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health researchers and is an executive member of OCHRe, the national network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health researchers. She is a research leader invited by Tribal leaders of Badu Island to assist communities of Maluilgau (Badu, Mabuiag, St Pauls and Kubin) to apply research experience to restore wellbeing to their communities through an Elder-led initiative called Kikirriu Dan Walmai project.
Prof. Sabina Knight
Professor Sabina Knight AM is a Fellow of ACN, Rural Leadership Australia CRANA and GAICD. A career rural and remote health advocate and clinician, she is the Director of the newly established JCU Central Queensland Centre for Rural and Remote Health in Emerald.

Sabina has a background in remote area nursing, health workforce, policy and reform. She has held leadership roles in CRANA plus, the National Rural Health Alliance, Regional Woman’s Advisory Council and a range of advisory bodies.
