Far North Wellbeing: About us

Resources to support your health and wellbeing, from your public libraries

About this website and project

This project is a collaboration between the Tablelands Libraries and Cairns & Hinterland Hospital & Health Service Library & Knowledge Centre (CHHHS LKC), with support provided by the State Library of Queensland. This website provides a list of evidence-based, self-help resources that have been recommended by qualified health professionals and healthcare organisations.

Tablelands Libraries and CHHHS LKC would like to thank the West Moreton Hospital & Health Service and Ipswich Libraries for permission to use the Words for Wellbeing concept and resource lists.

This initiative does not replace professional care from your doctor.

If you feel that you may have a mental or physical health issue, make an appointment with your doctor.

Your doctor will make an assessment and provide you with a specific diagnosis and an individualised healthcare treatment plan. Part of this treatment may involve some education around your particular health condition. As part of this patient education and treatment plan, your doctor or health practitioner may well recommend one or more titles from the this website.
